Downtown Grocery Working Group – Meeting 13.04.25
The Grocery Working Group, consisting of members of the DCRA, Fred Douglas Residential, Kiwanis Residential, CNDC, the Downtown BIZ, and other interest groups, met for the 2nd time this last Thursday, April 25th at Fred Douglas Residential.
Excerpts from this meeting are available here in the abridged minutes that were taken: 13.05.25 – Grocery Working Group Meeting – Minutes
Some highlights from this meeting:
- The original intention and function of the working group was discussed since the first time that the group met and was revised at this meeting. As the pace and method of execution of each of the individual associations of this Working Group ranged and differed greatly, it was decided at this meeting to change the direction of the Working Group to “general collaboration” as opposed to a “defined and unified front”. We agreed to (1) A set of general priorities for the members of the working group to aspire to, (2) to share information with each other virtually with email and other means, and (3) to meet only when needed as called upon by one of the members of the Working Group.
- The general priorities of this working group were discussed and agreed upon: (1) To maintain momentum of the issue with people we are currently in contact with, (2) to keep the members of the working group and their constituents informed, and (3) to reach new people to add to our cause.
- Further actions and highlights are available in the minutes.
