You are invited to AGM 1.0

  • Sunday, January 27, 2013.  Doors open at 6:00pm – Program starts at 6:30pm.
  • Dalnavert Museum, 61 Carlton Street, South of Broadway
  • Formal program duration: 1 hours with mingling before and after program start.
  • This meeting is free to everyone. Please RSVP at downtowncommunity@gmail.com so we can ensure adequate seating.  Please let us know if you require any special accommodations.
  • Help us out: put up this poster of the event and get your neighbours out.

This is our first official Annual General Meeting following our introductory meeting in November.  We will be passing our association by-laws and electing/approving our first board of directors.  There will be time before and after to mingle with your neighbours, and a chance to share what you’d like to see in the coming months from your new board.

Call for Nominations to the Board of Directors

This is an official call for nominations to the Board of Directors.  Nominations can be made by email or in writing by Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 6:00pm.  Nominations can by submitted for one’s self or on behalf of another.

Nomination must include:

  • The candidate’s full name, address, phone number, and email.
  • A short response of how the candidate’s interests, passions, or experience make them suitable for sitting on the Board of Directors.

For Director qualifications or any other information regarding Nominations or the Board of Directors, please refer to the By-Laws.

Call for Revisions to the By-Laws

This is an official call for revisions to our draft By-Laws.  Revisions can be made by email or in writing by Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 6:00pm.  Revisions can by submitted by anyone.

Requests for Revisions must include:

  • The member’s full name, address, phone number, and email.
  • A short response detailing the original article or clause and the intended revision OR the addition of an entirely new article.
  • A short response detailing why this revision is applicable.

The draft By-Laws refer to a Code of Conduct and an Equal Opportunities document.
